Update: I forgot I had a TL blog1 min read
First things first, HSK is now defunct, mostly of two reasons: One, BT took over Hyouka translations, and frankly, they’re much better at it than we are. Second, everyone in HSK just started getting busy, no matter how much we tried to get the ball rolling. We weren’t able to make an announcement about that because communication just fell apart, and now I realize 5 years have passed.
Another thing, I’ve recently gotten into reading some light/web novels, and decided to get back into translating. I had been busy with classes and work back then, which is why I had quit anything related to translation. But I guess I can’t really stay away since I enjoy doing it. Hence, I’ll be starting this blog back up. Having a schedule might be a good thing to keep me on track, and so that I don’t get overwhelmed. I have tried translating manga on my own, and frankly, it’s too much of a hassle and I salute typesetters, cleaners and redrawers out there.
As for what projects I’ll be working on, I’ll mostly be translating otome LNs/WNs because that’s where my interest lies but in the end, as long as they’re interesting, I’ll be translating them either way. Though I think the shounen/adapted to anime ones will be more popular, I prefer translating interesting, unpopular ones in WN form. I’ll probably head on over to novelupdates and check out any that haven’t been translated, or have been dropped. If you guys have any suggestions or recommendations, feel free to lmk.
