I’m Spying on the Heroine in an Otome Game World 2527 min read

July 22, 2020 I'm Spying On The Heroine Light Novels 24 Comments

Volume 2 | Chapter 5: July (Down) – Part 3

Three days after the Neo Candle training camp, I received a message from Iinchou on my cell phone. Incidentally, I had Kazu-nii buy me a whole new one as a replacement. It’s now a light blue colour.

[I want to borrow your power. Is there any day you can come to the academy in the afternoon?]

Now this was pretty abrupt.

[I can do tomorrow or the day after.]

[Then let’s meet at the back entrance tomorrow at 2 PM. Come in your school uniform.]

What exactly did Iinchou want from me?

On the very next day, I headed off to the academy after dressing up and preparing myself. Iinchou was there standing at the back entrance wearing his school uniform as always. To be honest, I couldn’t imagine him in casual clothing.

“Thank you for coming,” Iinchou said to me with a smile. “But I have to say, it sure is hot today.”

I can’t blame him for saying that. According to the weather forecast, there will be a heat wave today even though it’s only the end of July! I wonder just how hot the upcoming August will be. Walking under this blazing sun for fifteen minutes was something like torture. Clearly, my idea of using a parasol was correct. I humbly borrowed one from my mother.

“So what do you mean by borrowing my power? And meeting here at school,” I asked him. After all, it’ll be much cooler for the both of us if we met at the station.

“You see, the truth is…” Iinchou began before he started walking.

I followed after him as I waited to hear the full story. Our final destination in the end was a certain corner of the schoolyard. Today, too, the baseball club was firing up their passion in their club activities. Even if they were wearing baseball caps, they also had long sleeves in this blazing sun… No, wait, those outfits were their uniforms, so there’s a reason but…

The only person I know in the baseball club was Matsumoto-kun. I found myself searching for him. When I did, I noted he was also looking at me for whatever reason.

“You participated in the Neo Candle training camp, right?” Iinchou asked.

“Why do you know?” I tilted my head.

“Matsumoto saw you guys,” he explains.

Ah, come to think of it, we watched the baseball club’s practice match the other day.

“You see, he thinks you and I are dating and is worried that you might be cheating on me. Matsumoto saw you surrounded by four guys and thought you were tricking me,” Iinchou added.

“Ha?” I was shocked. When I looked up, I saw Iinchou laughing with genuine amusement.

“I tried to explain to him a dozen times but he wouldn’t believe me. In that case, I thought maybe I’ll just have Niimi-san explain to him directly.”

Which led to me trying to explain to Matsumoto-kun once he was on his break with all sorts of pain and difficulty. And, yes, Iinchou just watched with obvious enjoyment on his face. Once in a while he‘ll have this cruel side to him.

“You see, Matsumoto-kun. First, Iinchou and I are not dating,” I declared once more. It took about ten minutes before Matsumoto-kun believed this part. “It’s true I participated in the Neo Candle training camp, but all I mostly did was cook. There were other girls in the camp too. On top of that, Hibiya-sensei was there in charge, okay? None of us did anything weird.”

He wasn’t suspicious of us for that part, so he quickly believed me.

“Which all leads to how it’s all a complete misunderstanding how you think I’m cheating on Iinchou, okay?” He believes me now, right? I tilted my head as I peered up into his face.

Matsumoto-kun with his crew cut was actually pretty tall. When we speak face-to-face, I end up looking at him with upturned eyes. His eyes had deep doubt for me — it took quite a long time before I saw understanding in them.

Kyouko-jou said in this world there were women who get misunderstood and women who don’t. It seems I was the former. Damn it, that’s such a pain.

“You understand, right?” I asked again to make doubly sure. I stared, stared, and stared some more.

Eventually, Matsumoto-kun’s cheeks tinted red before he nodded. “Sorry,” he apologized.

“No, it’s fine, Matsumoto-kun. I can tell how important Iinchou is to you. Iinchou, make sure you thank him alright? You have a friend who’ll worry about whether or not your girlfriend is cheating on you.”

Incidentally, in my case, if Yumi-chan had a boyfriend and I witnessed that boyfriend cheating, I’ll go running in to punch him in the face. Surely.

“See you later, Matsumoto. Good luck with your practice. We have some more business to take care of,” Iinchou said to wrap up this conversation.

“Y-Yeah……” Matsumoto-kun mumbled out.

Iinchou left the schoolyard, and I followed after him. When we reached the point we couldn’t see Matsumoto-kun anymore, Iinchou suddenly stopped in his tracks and burst out in laughter.

“Kukuku, ahahaha! Niimi-san, you were amazing!”

“Huh? W-What do you mean all of the sudden?” I asked. Even if he complimented me after bursting into laughter, I’m not one happy at all.

“No, I see, you did it unconsciously after all. Matsumoto isn’t used to girls. He doesn’t have enough resistance, so he’ll get shaken if you look up to him with upturned eyes.”

“What are you trying to say……”

“Ahaha, don’t worry. Matsumoto is shy, you see.”

Iinchou nodded to himself and came to his own conclusion without me. Just like that he went towards the west building.

“Hey, Iinchou, where are we going?” I asked since I had this bad feeling in my gut.

Iinchou smiled brightly. “I wouldn’t call you to school just to persuade Matsumoto,” he said.

He took me all the way to the student council room.

When we opened the door, we saw Mizusaki-senpai with his head in his hands with booklets piled up into a small mountain in front of him. Kaneshiro-senpai was drinking tea with a smile; Tanaka-senpai couldn’t hide the irritation in her expression.

All three of them looked up at once. I noticed none of the first years were here.

“Err…… What’s happening?” I asked Iinchou.

He didn’t answer me and merely bowed his head to Tanaka-senpai first. “Good afternoon. We have come after receiving contact for help……”

“Yes, thank you so much for coming, you two,” Tanaka-senpai greeted us.

You two? I found myself looking at Iinchou. He was smiling nonchalantly.

“Mizusaki-kun went home before reading all the committee reports before summer vacation. He also didn’t plan on reading them, so we had to drag him here and hole up,” Tanaka-senpai explained more of the situation.

“How pathetic, Homare,” Kaneshiro-senpai commented.

“That’s……. I just forgot…” Mizusaki-senpai tried to make excuses for himself.

“You got captured by your fanclub members who wanted to know your plans for summer vacation and went home just like that, right? Yes, I remember clearly.” It looks like Kaneshiro-ssenpai was quite angry behind his gentle smile. “You could have delayed your vacation plans and come to school immediately on the next day. We had also informed you all the student council members will be gathering anyways. It’s you who deliberately slowed down the whole process, Homare. “

“That’s right. And out of all the things you could have done, you were on vacation until yesterday,” Tanaka-senpai complained as she glared at Mizusaki-senpai. “…….And so, I’m very sorry for calling you two here. But there are things in the committee reports that he won’t understand, not unless he also participated and helped out in the work like a class representative. I would like you two to help answer this inexperienced student president’s questions with us.”

“Us even though we are only first years? We only know what has been happening in the academy since April,” I pointed out.

“It’s fine. It’s impossible for him to read up to last year’s reports anyways.”

“You bastards……” Mizusaki-senpai mumbled.

Just like that me and Iinchou drank some green tea and waited on standby. That being said, Mizusaki-senpai barely asked any questions. To start with, he was normally smart and could do most things if he put his mind on them.

Looking from the girls’ side, a student president who does work diligently wins a lot of points, I thought. But I wonder if that goes against Mizusaki-senpai’s policies.

Well, the student council room was furnished with air conditioning, so it wasn’t that painful even if I was summoned during my vacation.

As I drank tea, I chatted with Tanaka-senpai to enjoy my time. As for Iinchou, he was discussing something with Kaneshiro-senpai.

“And so, I’m planning on going to Sky Dreamland soon,” Tanaka-senpai told me with a chuckle. She looked like a diligent senior who would always work hard and complete all her tasks. However, when she wasn’t in work mode, she’d show the cute sides of her.

“During this time? It’s quite hot though?”

“You think so too, right? But I’ve been so busy with my student council work lately that it bothered me how I couldn’t take care of my little brother. And my little brother thought this must be because our family doesn’t have any money. He managed to get tickets to Sky Dreamland from a supermarket lottery. Apparently, a nice big sister won it for him in his place.”

“There are really nice people in the world, huh.” I feel like I’ve heard this story somewhere, I thought as I nodded.

“You sure a woman with no sex appeal,” Mizusaki-senpai butted in, tired after he finished reading another report. “Your only plan for summer vacation is to go to an amusement park with your little brother? Go with a guy.”

“Oh my, treating your family is the most basic thing you should do. Plus, it’s true my family doesn’t have money, so I work part-time on extended holidays,” Tanaka-senpai said.

“Work part-time? That sounds nice. I haven’t done one before,” I commented.

Come to think of it, I remember thinking how a part-time job might be nice if I didn’t join a club.

“Niimi-san, If you don’t mind, how about trying it out? The place I work at will hire for a short term of one week. I’m sure they will warmly welcome someone who is considerate like you. We are short on hands too,” Tanaka-senpai offered.

“What kind of part-time job is it?”

“A waitress at a cafe.” Tanaka-senpai made a small smile. “The uniform is a little bit odd, but it’s really just a place to drink and eat.”

It was a place Tanaka-senpai worked at; there’s no way it’ll be suspicious. Since it is summer vacation, it might be a good idea to try working. Tanaka-senpai’s offer piqued my interest, so I leaned forward hoping to learn more details.

This was when Mizusaki-senpai suddenly shouted. “I see! Sky Dreamland!” He threw the booklet he read only halfway through to the side.

He turned his eyes to Kaneshiro-senpai and said, “The fans that couldn’t join my trip won’t shut up. I thought about doing something during summer vacation, but how about reserving Sky Dreamland? The fireworks and the festival at the shrine have too many people, so I hate it. If it’s the amusement park, we can light whatever fireworks we want.”

“Reserve the whole park? ……Right now?”

“What? Are you saying it’s impossible?”

“No, if we offer extra money then we can make some unreasonable demands. It’ll most likely be an evening on a weekday,” Kaneshiro-senpai said.

“We can give them a special privilege of being able to ride one ride with me alone. Afterwards, we can leave them to play on their own without problem too. It’s times like this when it’s a pain when there’s so many of them.”

“That’s why I said you should have made your fanclub unofficial. When you take a woman’s selfishness selfishly, nothing good will come out.”

Mizusaki-senpai didn’t seem like he heard Kaneshiro-senpai’s words at all. In fact, he looked engrossed with his ‘reserve the whole Sky Dreamland amusement park’ plan. He even took out his cell phone to get it arranged without delay. However, Kaneshiro-senpai’s hand stretched out immediately to steal the cell phone away.

“Please do it after you finish reading the reports,” Kaneshiro-senpai ordered.

“He’s right. Also, Mizusaki-kun, you haven’t finished reading the report you threw away without thinking. Don’t put it on top of the finished pile.”

In the end, it took until the evening until Mizusaki-senpai finished reading all of it.

It’s finally August on a certain day in the full height of summer.

Kazu-nii came by my home to eat breakfast and eventually glared and clicked his tongue at his cell phone. It was really very rare to see him so rude first thing in the morning, so I was puzzled.

“Shiori, you don’t have plans to head to the academy today, right?” Kazu-nii asked me.

“No, I don’t.” I mean, it was summer vacation. There’s no way I’ll go without actual business there.

“Alright,” Kazu-nii mumbled quietly to himself.

But on that same day in the afternoon, I headed to the station closest to the academy. Again, I had no plans to enter the academy though. I stepped into the family restaurant near the station and sat at a table with Kyouko-jou.

“Thanks for coming your way out here. Today was the only day I have free,” Kyouko-jou apologized to me.

“No, it’s fine. You were collecting data for your club here and there, weren’t you? Where are you planning on going next?” I asked curiously.

“The baseball club lost, so next is the swimming tournament……. But, well, let’s put that aside. Today’s about Neo Candle’s PV.”

The band planned on merely playing the clips they filmed on screen during their performance. However, Kyouko-jou thought that would be a waste since they took the time to film everything. She proposed devoting some more time in fine-tuning the PV.

“But is it okay to start this without Neo Candle and Aikawa-san?” I asked,

“Cause I want to keep it a secret to surprise them! They’ll be so shocked when the Cultural Festival comes~ Fufu!”

I had no choice but to help when Kyouko-jou showed such a happy face. Maria-jou captured on film was way too beautiful, so Kyouko-jou wondered if there was a way we can use it more. As such it’ll be meaningless if Maria-jou finds out. And since Kyouko-jou wanted to surprise Neo Candle too, they couldn’t be involved either.

So the only accomplice she could have was me.

“But how exactly are we going to edit it? I have zero knowledge about filming.”

“I know. In other words, we have to——”

Kyouko-jou’s goal was to get hints from me in the direction she should go for the PV. She will be doing the editing herself. She wanted to know which clips connected to what clips will be cooler, what scenes to touch up on, if she should add lyrics on the screen, and so on.

“Lyrics will be hard. Neo Candle still doesn’t know their set list for their live yet,” I commented.

“Yeah, that’s right. I wonder what exactly is troubling them?”

Neo Candle had a bunch of candidates in their mind. But the songs they’ll play at the Cultural Festival still remain pending at the moment. There were a lot of reasons for this starting from how Kazu-nii didn’t come to the practices much, so they haven’t decided the share of singing between him and Itou-kun. There were also songs they couldn’t play because Terakado-kun’s drumming skills were still lacking, and so on.

We shared each of our opinions of yes, no, and maybe so for everything. Eventually, Kyouko-jou organized all the ideas and wrote them down in a notebook. Afterwards, we plan on checking the actual film and adopt the plans that could be used.

I feel like I just completed a large task and felt satisfaction. I decided to get more ice tea at the drink bar and got up.

When I heard the word ‘Candle’, I instinctively stopped midway and turned around. I saw two familiar looking men sitting at a table in the distance. It was Kazu-nii and Masaki, the vocalist of Candle.

I couldn’t help but grimace since I saw someone unpleasant. My impression of Masaki was, frankly, the worst. I remember how he persistently hung around me last time. From what I could see of Kazu-nii here, he looked irritated and didn’t bother to hide it. I continued to observe the two as I hid in the shadows of the drink bar.

“The drink bar of a family restaurant sure is fulfilling~ Do you remember back in high school? We used to wait for you for hours here as you wrote lyrics for the next song,” Masaki said.

“I didn’t come here to hear stories of the past. Hurry up and tell me what you want. In the first place, have you forgotten how I said to never show your face to me again?” Kazu-nii retorted.

“I didn’t show my face. For a whole ten years in fact.”

“And why did you suddenly show up again?”

“I want you to come back. At this rate, our popularity will drop and we won’t be able to outsource for lyrics anymore. I want your voice and your lyrics.”

“I handed you my lyrics notebook exactly the way I wrote it. I’m not cooperating any further.”

“Those lyrics were written by you back in the old times. I want you, not a high schooler, but as one of us and with the feelings of men in their 20s. If I was the only member of the band then I’ve enjoyed the celebrity life more than enough. It can’t be helped if I disappear from the entertainment world like this. But even I don’t want to get the other members mixed up with me. You understand, right? I can sing but I can’t write lyrics.”

Kazu-nii glared at Masaki fiercely. “You understand why I’m refusing to cooperate, right?”

Masaki looked sad. His expression completely changed from his bright one earlier to a dark, depressed one. “…….Yeah,” he agreed.

Kazu-nii didn’t change his stern expression one bit.

Even then, Masaki continued. “We’ve kept our first songwriter a secret since Candle made their major debut. If we are going to retire, I want to at least announce you publicly. The leader whose ability we fell in love with was actually this amazing guy here.”

“It’s nothing but a bother to me. …Stop thinking about stupid things and give up,” Kazu-nii said, refusing.

“Hey, Kazuto.”

“I can’t help you. Just seeing your face is making me burst with anger that I can’t stop. Candle…… is fine even without me. The new song recently wasn’t bad either.”

“You listened to it?” Masaki asked with a happy smile. He was like a dog wagging his tail right now.

“…….How the hell are you so carefree like this?” Kazu-nii asked.

“Cause we love you lots, Kazuto.”

Their conversation continued for a while longer. In the end, Kazu-nii didn’t once nod his head in agreement.

I came back to my table with iced tea in hand. Kyouko-jou looked at me puzzled. Well, yeah, I was gone for a long time for someone who was just getting a refill of their drink.

“Did something happen, Shiori?” Kyouko-jou asked.

“No, nothing~ I just saw someone I knew. But they look like they’re talking about something complicated, so I gave up on calling out to them.”

“Were they breaking up with someone?”

“…I wonder about that.”

At the very least it was someone trying to get back together and the other person refusing.

“Well, putting that aside, how does this plan sound?” Kyouko-jou circled one of the items on the notebook listing everything in an organized fashion.

It was regarding the scene where Kazu-nii looked up at the starry sky with Maria-jou close by his side. This composition had nothing to do with Neo Candle, so we had refrained from using it. However, it was a beautiful shot of the two, which is why Kyouko-jou thinks it’ll be a waste not to use it.

“The leading members are Neo Candle, but Sensei was also once the same. So I was thinking about making this picture grainy like memories of his youth flashed in his mind for a second.”

I heard this idea from Kyouko-jou and wondered. Did she know of Kazu-nii’s past? Since she proclaims to know a lot of things, it wouldn’t be strange if she knew the members of Candle used to be students of our academy.

“Maria kind of fits the role of a manager in the PV, right? That’s why I don’t think it’s bad if she stands side-by-side with the adviser role, Hibiya-sensei.”

“You have a point,” I agreed.

Once upon a time, Kazu-nii was also the leading role of Candle. However, he left the group all by himself and didn’t follow them to the world of entertainment. I wonder if he had ever regretted this decision?

When night rolled by, Kazu-nii came to my house declaring we were going to sum up everything that had happened this month. As such, we had our usual strategy meeting.

We made big success with avoiding Hibiya’s events in the training club, so I was excited for the meeting as I gripped a mechanical pen.

Judging from Maria-jou’s capture efforts until now, there was no doubt she was trying to progress everyone’s events at the same time.

“If you trigger many events and raise affection rates, you’ll enter the capture target’s route, right? I wonder if that means Maria-jou doesn’t have a favourite yet?” I commented.

“I’m not sure either. In any case, there shouldn’t be any more events involving me during summer vacation, so I should be fine now but…” Kazu-nii said.

“Huh? Really?”

“When you think of summer, there’s lots of events involving fireworks, festivals, pools, and so on. But places like that will be hard to go with a teacher now wouldn’t it? I can’t say there isn’t one, but that shouldn’t trigger, so there’s no problem.”

“What kind of event is it?” I asked curiously.

“A beach date. Hibiya will go and drive her to a faraway one cause if they went in the city, other students might spot them. You need to have an almost maxed out affection rate by summer vacation to actually trigger. Even Hibiya from the game would stop himself from asking out his student on a date unless he was really prepared to take all the risks.”

“Hibiya from the game? You’re separating the two of you?”

“Cause I don’t want to be confused with him. In the first place, Hibiya in the game is the easiest character to capture. His affection rate wouldn’t drop even if you’re three, four-timing with the other capture targets. It generally only goes up.”

“Hmm~ And so basically there’s nothing much I have to cooperate with you in August? I guess this means I’ll have to observe Maria-jou when I meet her again in September to see how her relationship with the other capture targets progressed……”

“Pretty much. The easiest is to check what the targets call her. If they used to call her by her last name, Aikawa, and change to her first name then it means their relationship has progressed by a lot. As for the characters that call her by her first name to begin with, they’ll show with their attitude.”

I nodded.

I’m glad I don’t have to chase Maria-jou in August since I might have to change my own plans depending on the situation to actually do so. I’ve also promised Yumi-chan to go to the festival at the shrine together in August. I get the feeling I might run into Maria-jou then but that didn’t bother me too much.

“That’s great since I’ll be working part-time for a bit starting the day after tomorrow,” I admitted.

“…….Eh? What did you just say? Work?” Kazu-nii questioned.

“Yeah. It’ll be my first time working, so I’m kind of looking forward to it. It’s a cafe where Tanaka-senpai is also working at,” I elaborated.

“…….And is this already set in the stone?” Why the heck do you look so sullen?

“Hey~? Your cute little cousin is saying she’s going to try her best. Why are you trying to shave away my motivation with an expression like that? I want to buy a new yukata and swimsuit. I need those funds!”

“No……. Well, if it’s a place where Tanaka is working then it should be an honest place……. What’s the name of the cafe?”

“Don’t come to see me, okay? Ummm, what was it again…”

I’ve written down the cafe’s name after Tanaka-senpai told me on paper somewhere. I dug into my bag, looking for it. She had also told me the cafe’s address and phone number. The day after I’ll be having my interview after Tanaka-senpai introduces me. Oh, yup, here it is. I took out the piece of paper and read it out.

“It’s ‘Nyan Nyan Cafe’,” I told Kazu-nii.

“Wait a second!!” Kazu-nii shot up to his feet. “What is with that super suspicious name!? What kind of cafe is this!? Is there a site!? I’m looking it up!”

Kazu-nii was being extremely rude and actually investigated the cafe. Well, all he did was look it up online and nothing more.

According to the internet, Nyan Nyan Cafe is a cafe where the female staff will wear cat ears with their waitress uniforms.

What’s this!? Tanaka-senpai, that’s super unexpected of you!? Are you going to wear cat ears? You will, won’t you! Tanaka-senpai! Amazing. I’m definitely going. She said it was a cafe where you could earn lots of money in a short period of time. This must be the secret to their wealth.

What a wonderful cafe! Let me see with my own two eyes the very truth and value of Tanaka-senpai!

Meanwhile, Kazu-nii made a hannya face. “Cat ears……. Shiori with cat ears… Why do I have to show other guys her with cat ears on…….!”

Kazu-nii, your thoughts are completely spilling everywhere out loud. Also, according to their website, it seems the girls will also come with tails.

“What’s the big deal? Besides wearing cat ears, it’s just a normal waitress job. Tanaka-senpai said so too,” I pointed out. The cafe wasn’t a nightclub or anything, and it shouldn’t hit any of the forbidden part-time jobs of our academy.

“Shiori… Think about me going there as a customer. Do you really want to work there?”

“Kazu-nii, I think you should first remember Tanaka-senpai is working there.”

Imagine it. Teacher Hibiya visiting a cafe for the sake of seeing waitresses with cat ears. Tanaka-senpai isn’t the type to spread rumours easily, but we don’t know if we could silence her either.

For a while, Kazu-nii was conflicted and hung his head. I don’t know what kind of worries he had in his mind, but I wonder if he wanted to see cat ears that much.

“I got it,” I told him in the end. “Once I wear the uniform, I’ll ask Tanaka-senpai to take a picture of me. Live with that instead, okay? There’s a problem with privacy, so it’ll be a picture of me and not Tanaka-senpai’s, understand?”

“I’m not racking my brain cause I want to see cat ears, okay!?”

A female student spread open an old notebook as she gritted with bitterness.

The page opened up was labelled Golden Week and written on it was details about the band’s training camp scenario.

“I couldn’t trigger Hibiya-sensei’s event about his past…… I wonder if it’s because the camp happened on summer vacation instead. I feel like I could have triggered it with just a little bit more. Maybe it’s because of that? Cause I didn’t trigger Hibiya-sensei’s waking up scene either? Maybe I didn’t raise enough flags. …Well, I still have chances. It’s still too early to give up.”

She nodded and spoke out loud to convince herself.

“Hibiya-sensei’s smile when he patted my head was so wonderful…… Ahh~ Jeez~ If you smile that gently, it’s only natural a bunch of girls will misunderstand! Just remembering it makes my cheeks burn up. Sensei really is sinful~ His big hand was also kind and the way it felt like he was treating me special from everyone else was too sweet…….”

Her cheeks burned up even more, so she clapped her hands against them. The problem today lies ahead, so she flipped to the next page.

She gazed at the words, ‘Summer Vacation’, on the page before mumbling, “The place for the fireworks is fixed, so there’s no problem. I’ll be able to meet Kamura-kun in his awards ceremony for his design contest, so this will be fine too. As for the pool… I’ll go if I have the time. I want to spend the festival with two of them, but I wonder if I can smartly invite them out. If I go out in the daytime with Tsukkun and Kyouya-kun in the evening, it feels like their events will entangle nicely. Still there’s a risk. I can raise Tsukkun’s affection rate by cheering him on in the national tournament, so maybe I’ll prioritize Kyouya-kun? ……This sure is hard~”

She eventually looked away from the notebook and let her eyes wander in the air.

“The next problem is how to sneak my way into Mizusaki-senpai’s trip to Karuizawa. His fanclub’s restricting information, so I only know his destination and nothing else. If I miss this, I won’t be able to meet Kaneshiro-senpai again during summer vacation, so it’s pretty important……”

She tapped her fingers repeatedly on the notebook.

“Plus, at this rate, I won’t be able to trigger Hibiya-sensei’s home visit event. He still calls me by my last name, which I didn’t see coming at all. The easiest will be getting Kyouko-chan involved to barge into his place and find out the area where he lives. But, if possible, I want him to carry me back to his home cause I collapsed, so I can trigger the more adult event……”

She thought hard to think of solutions to her problems. Eventually, she calmed down and spoke out loud once again.

“But I guess it’s nice to see one concern out of the way. Niimi-san’s actions were just coincidental, and she wasn’t trying to trigger events or anything. Well, I still can’t let my guard down yet.”

She had participated in the Neo Candle training camp to confirm Niimi Shiori’s motives. However, the training camp itself ended in a failure. She wasn’t able to trigger any of Hibiya’s events during training camp. She had thought the training camp events would be helpful for raising affection rates for the upcoming main events to come.

“Niimi-san didn’t jump on the topic of the first vocalist for Candle either. There’s no mistaking that she doesn’t know anything about Hibiya-sensei’s past. Also, if Niimi-san’s actually after Neo Candle, then there’ll be no problem if I ignore her.”

She started to giggle like she thought she said funny just now.

“As long as I raise friendship and keep the minimum distance so that I don’t enter into any of their individual routes until October…… All the boys will become mine.”

TL: And this is the end of July! I feel like it’s nice timing since July will be ending soon as well 😉
